Oil on canvas.

Yet another seagull :-)

SOLD

House on fire

Oil on canvas. Leaning more towards abstract work.
Maybe I will attempt something abstract in the near future, but for the moment i am happy to have something recognisable in my work rather than going totally abstract.

Oil on canvas. My first completed seagull painting :-) Still my favourite. It has a new home now.

Drawing of plaster mould

This is a pencil drawing of a plaster mould which took some time. Again using many different tones it was possible to create volume.

This exercise was all about drawing what you see rather than what you know.

Wash basin in oils

A wash basin inspired by the swine flu. This oil on canvas was a lot of fun and in fact, started me off on doing some abstract works.

Aquarelle - Still life

Aqaurelle needs patience and i need to work on that. This still life worked for me but generally I dont enjoy working with water colours. I probably need to embrace the technique again with some enthusiasm and who knows what could result from that.

Morrocan kettles

Oil on canvas.
This was inspired by a vacation in Marrakech.

African girl

This is one of my african themed oil paintings.
It was one of my first in this range.

Figure drawing - The Foot

I completed this pencil drawing in a morning. I used many construction guide lines to enable me to create a sense of volume and to achieve perspective. Working in pencil makes it possible to use many tonal values which in turn brings the work to life.

This was a five minute warm up, charcoal sketch, during a life drawing exercise.
